Shea butter is a skin superfood and it constitutes 50% of all our skin lotions, butters and creams. Harvested from the karite trees of West Africa, these plants cannot be cultivated and can only grow wild. The nuts are harvested and the thick, yellow butter is extracted. This plant fat will remain semisolid at room temperature. 60% of raw, unprocessed shea butter consists of essential fatty acids that form a thick, enriching emollient for your skin. By using raw, unprocessed shea butter in our preparations, the essential fatty acids are retained in their natural state. Shea butter is non comedogenic which means that while it enriches the skin, it will not clog your pores. This product is safe and encouraged for diabetic foot skin. It passes organic, vegetarian and vegan standards.
